In The Beginning
He was born of creation, spoken and made A man in the likeness of sunlight and shade. A son to the Father of light on the earth, Whose breath woke creation from sleep unto birth. The dust of the ground swept about into form Until it was settled awaiting the morn. At the dawn of the sixth day he swept up the man And set him down in His garden to tend to the land He commanded His son to take all He was giving To take care and dominion of everything living. Man awoke in the garden of beauty and glory, He walked among creatures all new to the story. All was good in that garden, the fruit with it’s seeds, The land reproduced to fulfill all his needs. The Father of knowledge is ancient and wised And His commandments not to be despised. Only two of the trees were not for partaking, And should the man, his Father forsaking partake of the fruit of Knowledge or Life His days would be full of toil and strife, For the words of life must be obeyed, Or ...
