Vaccines and Parental Rights

Dare I say it, V…..Va…….Vaccinations. Ugh. My head just about exploded. Vaccinations are the hot topic of the day folks, put your headphones on or get ready to throw a tantrum because there is just no middle ground here. If you do find some middle ground you’ll find yourself quickly and inadvertently hemmed in on either side by mobs of article branding loonies and people who want the government to sanction the kidnapping of your children.

There are few subjects as nasty as this one, but we’ve all lost our ever-loving minds, and so I think we need a sanity check. In fact, you might just be unhinged if you don’t believe in vaccinations. You might be abusive. You might be a criminal. We might need to take your kids away and give you 500 rounds of conversion therapy. Who knows? But we definitely do.

There’s little or no middle ground here, so you are going to think I’m taking sides, probably whatever side you aren’t on, but I’m prepared to dig my own grave on this one...I think; Because I’m a little bit concerned. You see, God given rights are God given rights are God given rights. I’m going to say the dumbest thing I’ve said all day, and it even outdoes when I said “Get off the table”. God didn’t say anything about vaccines. BUT….he did tell you how to treat your neighbor. And I’m pretty sure it went something like “You shall love your neighbor as yourself” which means you need to make sure that floozies children are safe from deadly diseases to keep your children safe from deadly diseases even if it costs her a kid or two, because better a few than many.” ….Err...I mean….

Now, I’m all for the theory of herd immunity, except that God gave your neighbor the right not to inject her body with protective toxic substances, by creating her as a distinctly separate individual. And God gave her the right to protect her children from interfering neighbors and governments. It's totally unheard of in this country, where parents are governed by the fear of Child Protective Services unbridled power. You see, I’m not against injections of protective toxic substances at all, but what this has become is a power grab. You want to treat her children like they were given to you. And that my dear christian friend, is called covetousness, and covetousness leads to theft. Thou shalt not covet your neighbor's stuff or people or animals.

I’ve seen and heard it all. In all its worldly wisdom and grand scale fear mongering. What if YOU anti-vaxxer are the cause for MY sickly childs demise. What if YOU anti-vaxxer give us all measles and someone dies? There’s no way to know if you are actually the cause until we accomplish herd immunity because we haven’t conducted any vaccinated vs. unvaccinated studies, but we’ll blame you and your children until we find out. The guilting of thy neighbour never ceases.
And this is all presuming it’s a sin for someone not to vaccinate their children, I’ve seen you advocating for Child Protective Services to take children away from families who ‘hate’ their children by refusing to vaccinate them. Even though kidnapping is a far greater sin biblically speaking. Let’s examine a couple of versus:
"Whoever steals a man and sells him, and anyone found in possession of him, shall be put to death.” Exodus 21:16
Just a side note; I find it fascinating that this verse is sandwiched in between the penalty for striking your father or mother, and the penalty for cursing your father or mother. I don’t believe that it was an accidental placement to put the penalty for man stealing in the same category as the penalties for dishonoring your parents.

“Children shall not be punished for the sins of the father, nor the father for the children.” Deuteronomy 24:16.

I’m going to talk about CPS briefly, because it seems to be the biggest threat looming over the heads of anti-vaxxers, and as I’ve already noted, it’s a crime to kidnap a person. Child Protective Services is an unsafe organization, and it is a traumatizing experience for children. As if being ripped away from your parents, and given to strangers wasn’t hard enough for a child to understand and experience; Children are often sexually exploited and physically and emotionally abused while in Child Protective Services care. CPS has no accountability and way too much power.
The bible is clear about kidnapping, yet we insist on practicing the kidnapping of children from parents and holding them for ransom. If parents were held accountable for their own sins however, CPS wouldn’t exist. Nationally we used to reserve this action for children who were physically endangered by their parents neglect or abusive behavior, but NOW we’re advocating for children from loving families to be placed in foster care, because their parents won’t make the same medical decisions as we do. Are we a bunch of lunatics?

I don’t think you thought you were, but just imagine you know someone whose child was vaccine damaged. It’s not disputable. The Association of American Physicians have told families and Feds the truth of this. But we dismiss doctors opinions as out of hand whenever we feel like thwarting the establishment of parental rights. It happens with abortion, assisted suicide, and transgender hormone therapy and surgeries.

I think in order to sort out who the God given protector of our children is we need to take note of the created order. The first government established in Genesis was God over man, the second was mankind over the earth, we were commanded to be fruitful and multiply, to fill the earth and subdue it. This was the establishment of family government.

Why are christians in America trying so hard to hold onto their guns? To protect their children from a totalitarian state. Never mind if there isn't room in foster care for more kids, CPS doesn't mind placing children in squalor conditions. Governments want into the schools and they want their foot in the door of your home too, because they understand that whoever rocks the cradle, rules the world, and they sure don't want it to be Jesus Christ.
Whoever doesn't take care of his family is worse than an unbeliever.

Throwing your authority at the government because of a measles outbreak shows that you are afraid of failing your God given responsibility to care for your own family, and so you're are acting in a way that say’s the government is your God and savior. Instead of turning to God and casting our cares on him, we cast our children and our neighbors children on the government hollering that they should save us. But we need to repent of being driven by fear to a false savior. We know what God has to say about other gods. “Is there a God beside me? Indeed there is no other Rock; I know not one.”

God's image is the template. We know each and every one of us belongs to God because we are made in His image. We know that we belong to our parents because we are made in theirs. The fact that my children are made in my image is a mirror of our relationship to God. He is Creator, he made us pro-creators. We are His and we owe him our allegiance, we are our parents children and we must honor them. We know that there is a point in adulthood when children move out of their parents home, out from under parents authority, and under the authority of whatever government God has established in the land. Yet there is never a point where we are permitted to dishonor our parents.

Governments that attempt to dislocate families by creating sanctuaries where children are kept ‘safe’ from parental authority are creating danger zones for children. In the same way, governments that force their way into homes to ensure all children are vaccinated are way out of the boundaries put in place by God, and they should be considered tyrannical and dangerous.
What place does a government have? As Douglas Wilson so aptly put it, (and I paraphrase) ‘Governments in Scripture are often referred to as beasts. The government is nothing more than a vicious guard dog. It’s job is to protect its owner, the people, from evil doers.’ (evil as defined in Scripture) “for he (the ruler) is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer.” Romans 13:4

A government that does not submit to God's authority, can only go one direction. It must declare itself to be God. It dictates who lives and who dies based on its own opinions, it dictates what you shall say, and what you should believe, it makes priests and invents new blasphemy laws. In fact, a government that has been converted into a god is downright unappeasable. Instead of ten commandments, it deals in the thousands. No measle outbreak on earth should drive a christian to give their God given parental authority to the beast.

What do I mean when I say don’t give your authority to the beast? Look at it this way. When you ask the government to mandate vaccinations in an attempt to force herd immunity, not only are you asking the government to take away your neighbours parental rights, but you’re also asking for it to take away yours. If you do not have control over your own families medical decisions, the government owns your family. We’ve seen a couple of cases in the UK where hospitals kidnapped sick young children whose families were looking elsewhere for treatment. The courts dictated that those parents didn’t have the right to search for any more treatment. The boys died as dictated by the courts, against their parents wishes.

You need the right to protect your children and make medical decisions for them. God didn’t give your children to you because you were all wise, or because you are the best decision maker in high stress situations, or because you know better than doctors, or because you would vaccinate them. He gave them to you because he loved you. So love them, love them by not abdicating that responsibility to a bloated government dog. Love them by simply caring for their physical well being enough to do your research involving medical decisions. Whether you love them by vaccinating, or whether you love them by not vaccinating, is your God given right.

And last of all, love your neighbor as yourself. Not by making their parental decisions for them, but by allowing them to make those decisions for their own family, the same way you like to make those decisions for your family.
Three cheers for parental rights, and as I said on an Instagram post of mine, but I believe is worth repeating: “‘Children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.’
My heritage, not Caesars, and the image imprinted upon them is Gods. Give to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are Gods.”
